Our story

The last place you would ever expect to find love is in the middle of the ongoing battles in Zadnor, but that's precisely where these two found one another. Sakura, having spent her entire adult life adventuring alone and Tortl'to, having just the day before experienced the tragic loss of his travelling companion, his older brother Rook'a.Despite the chaos, Tortl'to was wandering around the battlefield holding two ice creams, having momentarily forgotten that his brother, with whom this had been an ongoing tradition, was no longer around to enjoy it with him. Sakura, ever the fan of ice cream, offered to take the spare off his hands. I guess, you could say, the rest is history. The two now travel and fight across Eorzea and far beyond. Side by side they have weathered many storms, overcome trials and defeated many a foe.

Tortl'to

Tors family was a fairly good family, father went for aldgoat milk and never returned, mother was a gifted culinarian. Tor had an older brother, Rook'a. Who was Tors only brother and only best friend. Growing up the both of them went on silly adventures, quests made up in their heads, helping people in their tribe, and taking care of pesky sheep that went where they shouldn't.Tor would follow his brother just about anywhere, including to the battle field, when they were old enough to join the fight. Each day they would fight and in the evening come home for a bit of ice cream and bird watching. Tor would bring the ice cream and Rook would provide the perfect location to watch birds. One very dangerous battle not too long ago, Rook went in head first like always, Tor quickly behind him, but a trap unforseen and unknown took the life of his brother. Tor was lost, rage took over, that day Tor blacked out, and murdered a whole fleet of soldiers. When he awoke, he looked at the time and realized it was ice cream o'clock! On his way back he remembered, the loss of his brother, and bumped into one very talented and gifted Miqote, one that would change his life for the better.

Sakura

Sakura was born in the forests of The Shroud. Her father, predictably, was absent while she was raised by her mother. As she grew older, despite trying her best to accept and fit in with the beliefs of her tribe, she found herself questioning the lack of males within the tribe, something that was made especially evident when her childhood friends, but only the boys, began to be sent out of the tribe upon reaching a certain age. Unable to hold in her doubts and questions any longer, she questioned her mother on the subject and was told that “this was simply the way they did things”, something that never sat well with Sakura. In light of her feelings on the way in which the tribe operated, Sakura packed her belongings on the night before her 18th birthday and simply left. Her mother, having struggled to accept Sakura’s lack of understanding for tribal etiquette, simply let her go.Now free from tribal restrictions, Sakura explored and discovered a love for battle and the protection of others. Once she gained the attention of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, she never looked back and banded together with her new comrades, she went on to quite literally save the world. It was only after the battles, when the dust had settled, that Sakura was free to master multiple skills and travel further afield. Sometimes she set out in search of battle, sometimes she went fishing. On the days that she did go fishing, she would inevitably end up frustrated and end up going in search of battle to vent those frustrations. Every day, however, was an adventure. Especially the day that she met Tortl’to.
